This is a little something in hopes of keeping our friends and family in the loop and be in better contact with the people that we don't see as often as we'd like.

One Year
You're probably wondering why on Feb. 26 I posted something about fondue and Valentine's Day instead of something about the birth of our child a year ago (since all posts are about that now), and well...I'm behind, that's why. Well, sort of anyway. We did celebrate with a great visit from my sister Luci who graciously drove down from Baltimore (again) and only got to stay til Sunday morning. Since Charlotte was sick the week before with rsv (and I have a feeling I have now re-infected her as of yesterday) we postponed a little get together we were going to have with our friends the Womacks and the Jenkins. I was thinking a small little mexican fiesta complete with a pinata for the adults and four year old (what else for a one year old's birthday?!). Instead we did it this past weekend, only my desire for fajitas had been satisfied and I wanted something a little more classy (cause you know, that's really what we are). Anyway, we grilled some steaks and had Cara's can't-be-beat salad, roasted veggies, and homemade rolls along with some choice wine, thanks Womacks! Then it was time for Charlotte's moment where she would fully and officially enjoy processed sugar for the first time while we watched! Instead of getting her the goods from our local bakery though, I just whipped up some pumpkin muffins and slapped some cream cheese frosting on them. Classy, like I said. Enjoy the pictures...
